purple passion # 12

Boliyou hosts Purple Photo Passion. Like me, she knows that purple is an exclusive color, mystical in quality, blending the two extremes of the spectrum, red and blue. Traditionally, purple represents splendor, dignity, royalty, rank and wealth.

Purple is a unique color, and it is truly a unique individual who holds it dear. Are you a purple person? If so join Boliyou and other members of the purple sisterhood (guys also welcome) by posting your purple photos here.

When visiting the local hardware store the other day I happened on this purple adirondack chair for sale.

This lovely basket of purple petunias was hanging on the boarding dock of the Tom Sawyer River Cruise at the St. Louis Riverfront.

During my first trip to San Diego I was surprised to find this purple plant growing on all the slopes. In January no less. I learned it is an ice plant. Boy, how I wish it would grow here in the mid-west.

Purple passion --- my first

As you can tell by my blog design I am a person that likes purple. I discovered a new meme called Purple Passion and would like to share these purple shots with all the great folks who, like me, have that passion for things purple.

I took my grandson to the dentist on Monday and this very purple piece of rope are was decorating the waiting room.

Found this lovely lavender building on my recent trip to the Ozarks.

This very purple house is just a few blocks from my sister in Omaha.

The world is full of people with purple passion and some of them can be found at http://purplephotopassion.blogspot.com/go visit or join the fun.

Photo Hunters ---- Purple

Welcome to Saturday’s Photo Hunt by Tn. Chick. The theme this week is purple. This should have been a very easy one for me. Purple is my favorite color and half my closet is in some shade of purple. Put, I actually planned to post several photo’s of some purple houses I found during our travels.

Regrettably, my PC crashed this week. I was not as careful as I should have been about backing up my files so all my photo’s are now in Limbo waiting for our local computer whiz to have time to try an retrieve them. Only time will tell.

So I had to go back to some old CD’s looking for some purple. These shots are all several years old but I like them and hope you do too.

First is my Mother dressed for a costume party as a bunch of grapes. By the time this was taken a few of her grapes had been picked, err, I mean popped.

Next is some purple flowers I found at the botanical gardens in San Diego. I had never seen them before or since. They look like cabbage to me. Can anyone name them for me?
