Pink Saturday ----- Easter Giveaway and more

Welcome everyone to this week's edition of Pink Saturday, hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

My first bit of business this week is to announce the winner of this pink and white coach figurine that was featured in my post last week. There was eleven comments and I placed each name on a post-it note, folded them in half and placed them in a hat and had the Old Salt draw out the winner.

Drumroll please...................and the winner is ............Happily Retired Gal of the blog of the same name. Congratulations, Happily Retired Gal. If you will e-mail me your address I will get you lovely coach in the mail.

My entry for this weeks Pink Saturday was captured in a local antique mall. There was something about the painting that captured my interest.

To join in the fun or just visit the pink post of others visit Beverly and her friends at Pink Saturday.

  1. Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
Love your post. This picture is quite unusual. No faces. They never finished it. How unusual is that? I do love it though.

Congrats to your winner. May she dream of Cinderella each time she looks at it.

Have a beautiful Saturday. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  2. Sherry, I thought the same thing at first. But, the more I look at this photo I have come to the conclusion that it a couple of Amish girls at play, and all you are seeing is their starched white caps.

But, I would not expect the Amish to be wearing pink.

  3. Hi Rita, Nice to meet you! What an interesting picture! I would love to see where you are going to hang it.
I am curious why there are no faces. We live in the heart of Amish country and it is disrespectful to paint the faces on Amish in pictures. I wonder if it has something to do with that.
    Happy Pink Saturday!

The coach and figures are lovely indeed! I'll send you an email shortly. This week's pink painting is most unusual and quite fascinating though I'm not sure I'd want it hanging anywhere in my home.
    Happy Pink Saturday!
    Hugs and blessings,
