Postscript. This photo was taken on Tuesday. While walking around the house to make sure that nothing needed immediate attention we noticed this nest of baby robins in the crook of our down-spout. With a brief wait in hiding I was able to capture the mama robin feeding her young.
Today, Saturday, we discovered that the birds are gone. Don't know when they left or if they left of their own choice. From the photo I would think they were too young to flee the nest but they are gone. I do hope that nothing bad has happened to them. But, I feel lucky to have had a brief moment to watch them.
Update. Last night I went out after dark to water our tomato plants and discovered on of the fledglings roosting on the top of a support cage. So at least one is still around. I hope the others have not gone far as well.
Thank you for stopping by my site. Without your visits there would be no incentive to continue posting. So, having you here and reading your comments is the highlight of my day.
I regret that time does not always allow me to return visits to everyone who stops by, but, I will certainly do my best to get to everyone. I will definitely answer any questions you leave me.

They do grow up fast, so perhaps they left the nest before you realized they had grown. They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteYay, spring!
