Community Photo Challenge ----Tree

While trying to visit all those posting Shadow Shots over the weekend I came across a badge for the Community Photo Challenge. Since I love doing challenges I rushed over to check it out. Community Photo Challenge is a monthly meme that is currently running from Feb.15th until March 15th and this months theme is "Tree/Trees." I was delighted to have a reason to post a group of photos that I took last spring.

I hate to admit this, but I have no idea what kind of trees these are. A web search has lead me to believe that they may be Birch Trees. I am also embarrassed to admit that I have lived in this town for almost a decade and never noticed these trees growing in front of the local post office (which I visit weekly) until the day I took the photos. But, something about this group of trees really spoke to me. I was enthralled with the the way the trees were shedding their bark and the silvery shimmer of the leaves.

To check out the tree/trees that others found interesting enough to post or to post one of your own visit Marie and her team at Community Photo Challenge.

  7. Lovely texture shot! there's a few trees here that seem to always have peeling/loose bark, and I'm very sure they are not the birch tree.
