Last Saturday the Old Salt and I took my daughter and grandson to lunch at the local Bob Evan's restaurant. Sitting in the booth next to us was a young family. The youngest child having finished his meal got restless and stood up and was doing circles in his corner of the booth. Suddenly, he stopped and was transfixed. Not knowing what was going on I grabbed my camera and shot the following picture of the amazed child.
I then turned around to see what he found so entertaining and snapped the following shot.
And, just that quickly, I had a perfect subject for this week's Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday. Who could resist two adorable children decked out in red.
A brief conversation with the girl's grandmother informed me they had just returned from a visit to a new pumpkin patch on the edge of town, where both granddaughters wanted to have their faces painted so badly they were willing to behave and wait in line for thirty minutes. The youngest, above, choose to become spider woman. But, there was no way I could not photograph her big sister below who wanted to be a Masked Princess even though she was all decked out in pink.
Of course, now you know where I will be next weekend? Why, taking my grandson to the new pumpkin patch, of course. They have a cannon the kids can use to shoot pumpkins at scarecrows. I can't think of anything else a boy would rather do on a saturday morning, can you?

Sweet shots. Kids are such good reminders to enjoy the wonders and delights around us.
ReplyDeleteThe girls' faces are cute ... but what's PRICELESS (to me, anyway) is that little guy's expression. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
ReplyDeletePumpkins and cannons? ... What great stress relief! :)
You were in the right place at the right time to capture these darling faces. Perfect red showing for today.

What a great post your photos made and how "diplomatic" of you to take photos of both of the little girls. You sound like me with your camera at the ready. I always carry mine in my purse.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments and for stopping by on Rednesday. I'm a former MO girl having been born in KC.
Thanks for sharing your sweet photos with us all.
