Theme Thursday ---- The Micro Egg

It is time to put you into EGG-hilaration with this week's Theme Thursday. Yes, today's subject is that thin-shelled, occasionally two-eyed mainstay of breakfast, the humble egg.

I didn't have to give much thought to what I would post this time. The Micro Egg is a gadget that works. Just fill this over-sized plastic egg with a half cup of water and four eggs, microwave for seven minutes for perfect hard-boiled eggs. No watching pots to prevent boiling over. No danger of burning a pan forgotten on the stove. No cracked eggs. No shaking salt into the water. Just perfect eggs every time. This little gadget gets used in my kitchen three or four times a week. It is so easy to have eggs for snacks, salads or breakfast.

I wish everyone a happy and renewed Easter with lots of traditional Easter Eggs.

  2. I did not know of this egg cooker. It appears to be a marvelous invention + subject for TT. A 2fer. I think hard boiled eggs are one of the best fast foods you can get!

  5. Thank you everyone for the Easter greetings.

Subtrop77 FYI I got my Micro Egg Cooker at Target. It was on one of those "AS seen on TV" displays. I think it was ten dollars.

  6. Rita, ach! We used to have a "Seen on T.V." store in the local mall. Alas it is gone and I'm still in Target boycott mode. Surprised Mom hasn't seen this thing; she'd love it!

  7. Subthorp77 I wanted to get a second one for my mother. Target was out of them at the time. I live in a small town and could not find it in town. Wal-mart does not carry it. So I went online. It is made by Nordic Ware and I ended up ordering it from Amazon.com for #6.50 (plus shipping of course), and had it shipped directly to Mom's home.

I think it is worth the expense and effort to find one.

  8. Rita, thanks for the info. Now I'm looking for two. I don't do any on-line ordering, so I'll have to look round. Prob'ly find it in a grocery store!

  9. Hi there,
Still doing TT's, I thought I had most of the As Seen On TV things, or at least my hubby swears I do. I know I don't, but I have never seen this one. I am not like subt and on Target boycott. I will look next time I go there. But I do not eat many eggs. This would be good for the grandkids. So I will look and then when they are here maybe they can use it. Then eventually I will send it home with them. I do that. One daughter said I am not allowed to send more home. Other daughter still takes it home.

Thank you for sharing. God bless to both of you.
