Below My Feet

I'm finding that the older I get the more I am watching where I am stepping.  I am also finding that since my cancer treatments I am actually seeing more of what I am stepping on.

Last March during a trip to Branson, Missouri we took a tour of the trout hatchery.   I was still not very steady on my feet after a winter of chemo so I was watching the uneven ground in front of my feet.  I noticed I was stepping on lots of little purple flowers.

When I got down for a closer look with my macro lens I discovered the (supposedly) weeds (that were everywhere) were actually very pretty.

So sometimes it pays to watch were your walking.

  1. They are pretty little flowers! I used to own a landscaping company, and when my youngest son worked for me, he said the weeds were just "plants out of place"...I always thought that was an interesting way to look at it!
