Illness has limited my photo opportunities over the last six months. As a result, I have not always been able to post to some of my favorite blog hops. Ruby Tuesday being one of them I'm excited to actually have a few nice reds to share today.
These two photos were taken at a antique shop in Plattsmouth Nebraska during our recent trip to Omaha to visit family. I loved the look of these plates from both inside and outside the shop.
It was almost dark the night I saw these bright red flowers in a yard over on Second Street. I was lucky to capture them from the moving car. Afraid I have no idea what these red jewels are called.
Last week we made the thirty minute drive to Warrenton, Missouri to pick up a friends son on the last day of school. This hotrod pulled out in front of us just as we reached our destination. I wish I could have gotten a few shots from other angles.
And I have saved the best for last. At least to my way of thinking. This is my only grandchild, Timothy. We celebrated his sixteenth birthday last week with a dinner out. When this delightful and bright young man was born he fit into the palm of his fathers hand without using up all the space. In fact his feet were almost as long as he was tall. He has grown fourteen inches in height over the last two years and is beginning to grow into the size of his feet. However, he still has to order the largest size shoe of anyone in the marching band at school. He is currently six feet tall and, with this birthday, his age has just squeaked past his shoe size. We are all hoping Timothy doesn't decide to catch up with his grandfather.
Oh! Did I forget to mention that his paternal grandfather was 7'6" and wore a size 23 shoe.
Stunning ruby plates, but I really prefer that ruby red street rod. Nicely captured.
