Cyclist in Pearls

A few days ago I stopped at Aldo's, our local Italian Restaurant, for some take-out.  While waiting to pull out into the busy street, a woman on a bicycle passed in front of me. I've seen lots of bicycle riders but none like this one. Once I got past her down the road, I pulled over and snapped a couple of shots.

After all when was the last time you saw a cyclist wearing pearls.

While waiting in the car for the Old Salt to return from an errand I noticed this house across the way wearing a festive wreath of flowers. They may or may not be real but since I didn't walk over to look closely, I get to imagine they are real. Neat!

We walked quite a way down Main Street and this was the only flower we saw.  It was the only bloom on a potted Hibiscus plant in front of a local artist's studio. Judging from the size, I think the plant put all its energy into this one huge bloom. It was the size of a dinner plate.

I am linking this post to Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday

  1. I had to smile at the cyclist and her pearls! How elegant! And that hibiscus bloom - WOW! Looks like the ones we see growing wild in the marsh - they really are huge!

  3. She is gorgeous in her string of pearls. My first time ever to see a cyclist wearing pearls, like it!

  5. Nope, I don't think I've ever seen anybody riding a bike in pearls. Definately a first. :))
