Mellow Yellow Monday ---- What If?

While looking through my photos today I realized, that if some insidious beast came into my neighborhood while I was asleep and caused every yellow item to disappear at least one third of my photos would be gone. That got me to thinking, so I have a question for you. Just how long would it take you to miss those yellow items and what would you miss the most.

For me, it would certainly be more than one thing and it would only take about two seconds.

I would not even get my feet on the floor before I noticed that my piece of my Grandmothers quilt was missing from the frame that sits on the chest across from my bed.

By the time I walked into my living room I would know that the front door was missing. And, a second later I would notice that the newspaper was not on the walk.

While standing at the kitchen sink to fill the coffee pot I would surely notice that the fireplug was no longer across the street.
And when I opened the back door to let the cat out I would find that the butterfly on the patio gate was missing.
The flags used by the Baptist church behind us to mark the children's play area would no longer be there.

A glance across the field to my daughter's apartment building would tell me that her friend's truck was missing from the parking lot.

Plus, there would be no eggs in the fridge for breakfast.

But, worse of all there would be no noise coming from the train engines that come through town daily bringing the coal to the power plant that provides all of our electric.

How about you?

  6. What a marvelously creative post for MYM Rita! I need to move to your neck of the woods -- I don't have enough yellow in my life. Even the paper comes wrapped in a plain rain-colored plastic wrapper. I love this whole entire post!!!!

  7. Wow, you have a great looking door! We don't have that much yellow in our house but so many things would disappear among the childrens' toys I believe if there was no yellow.
