Camera Critters # 66 -- Max and Inga

Animal critters is not one of my regular memes. I'm not a big animal lover so I do not make many photo's of people's pets. But, I just happened to take two recently that turned out to be rather fortuitous that I would like to share with you today.

The first is Max. Max was the faithful, protective, devoted and very loving pet of my brother and his family. I snapped this shot while visiting one day because I thought Max had to be the ugliest dog I had ever seen. Fortunately, Max's personality did not match his appearance. Max became ill and passed away recently. So this one is for you Max. Rest in peace.



Next is Inga, my sister's German Shepherd . My sister has been a member of the horseback search and rescue team for sometime and, when possible, would take Inga along with her. After Inga was instrumental in the search for a lost hiker my sister began intensive search/rescue training with her. Inga has just completed that program and been certified as the first search and rescue canine in our county. Now Inga and my sister are called out on all search/rescue missions in the county with or without the horses.
